Organ Accompaniment

This is an aria (for alto) from the Christmas Oratorio by JS Bach.

It is written in A minor, and is called Bereite dich, Zion, mit zärtlichen Trieben.

It was written for voice, oboe d’amore, violin, and basso continuo.

Originally, it comes from the cantata BWV 213: Aria, ria, Ich will dich nicht hören,  which was later included into the christmas oratorio.
