You have the right to ask AccompaMe to let you know if and what personal data we store about you. Please contact our customer service (support@accompa.me) or privacy protection officer (privacy@accompa.me) to request this information.

 

You have the right to access, modify, or delete your personal information and privacy settings at any time. Please click on the link “My Account”, where you can view your personal data and immediately make changes to your data. For security reasons, some of your personal information may only be viewed and modified by contacting our support team (support@accompa.me) or privacy protection officer (privacy@accompa.me).

 

Collection of your personal data

 

As a visitor to the site, you can take various actions without providing any personal information. However, if you wish to buy, use or provide content or services as an AccompaMe user, we will collect all or part of the following personal information, e.g. for billing purposes, for messages or payout of funds:

Artistic data (optionally displayed by you in your public profile): Your artist name, your website, social media profiles, instrument you play, musical expertise, company name.

Information about Payments and Purchases: What purchases or downloads you made, what form of payment you used, when and how your balance was paid, your e-mail address and billing address for your payout of funds.

 

Please note, if voluntarily made public by you, your data may be used to identify you.

 

Some of the information you can provide about yourself on AccompaMe is mandatory and others are marked as optional. If you do not want to provide certain mandatory information regarding a particular function or service, you may not be able to use that service.

 

Certain information about the routing and technical data of your computer is collected (for example, also with cookies) in order to enable or improve the use of the website and its services. For example, we can record the browser type, operating system, CPU speed, and IP address of your computer. We use this information to facilitate and optimize your use of the website and its services. When you use our services or upload or download content, we automatically collect data about the device type and version of the operating system.

 

AccompaMe uses such information to measure general usage patterns of all users on the website. However, we will not match such information with your personal information. While downloading our mobile services, we do not request, access, or track location-related information from your mobile device.

 

Personal data release to other AccompaMe users

 

Because of the nature of AccompaMe’s services, many of the content or services are provided by other users. If you obtain content / services from other users or providers, or if other users receive content / services from you, we need to release some information in order to facilitate the purchase or exchange. We will store your information for 3 years from your account closure or data deletion request and use it solely to comply with our legal obligations, clarify copyright issues or settle disputes.

 

Options for newsletters and notifications

 

We would like to inform you about news about AccompaMe, our services and contents. However, we take your requests for information privacy seriously. Therefore, you will not automatically receive information from us (except for important changes to our Terms of Use, Privacy Policy or Services, and automatically generated messages about your purchases and notifications related to your billing). However, if you would like to receive news and information from us, you can voluntarily subscribe to our newsletter.

 

You can also unsubscribe at any time if you do not wish to receive any further notifications via our newsletter. You can do this via “my account” in the settings.

 

Protection of your personal data

 

We protect your personal data, which you provide in connection with the registration on AccompaMe or use of the services of AccompaMe, as well as we can and is technically possible. We strive to ensure the protection of the personal data transmitted to us both during transmission and upon receipt. Access to your account is possible through a password and a unique, selected customer ID (your e-mail address). Your password will be encrypted by us. Please choose a strong password with lowercase and uppercase letters, numbers and special characters, which you do not communicate to any other person. Please never save your password in writing (slip, mobile phone, computer, e-mail) and if possible use a different password than for other services.

Your personal information will be encrypted and stored on a secure server accessible only to selected AccompaMe employees using a password. Your personal information will be encrypted on all transmissions to AccompaMe. When you enter confidential information (such as your credit card number or bank account details) into our registration or order forms, this information is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL).

Use of your personal information in forums and groups

 

We allow you to set up a profile that gives you access to blogs, forums and groups in our online community to share information, news, photos and videos. Please note that we have no control over the actions of individuals with whom you may share information and data. All data that you make public on AccompaMe can be seen by other Accompanistas.

 

Your e-mail address will not be posted automatically in the forum. Your contributions will appear under your chosen username. However, users can visit your profile when they search for your username and can obtain information that you have publicly shared in your profile.

 

Social media interaction

 

We link social media features on AccompaMe to share content, information or posts through social media channels such as on Facebook, Google+, Twitter, SoundCloud, YouTube and more. These features can track the page you visit and your IP address during your visit to our website, as well as set a cookie to ensure full functionality of the social media interaction. Social media features and widgets are either hosted by third parties or directly on our website. Your interactions with these features are governed by the privacy policy of the offering company.

 

Social media registration and login

 

You can register or log in to our website both directly through us, as well as through other social media login services such as your Facebook or Google Account. These services will authenticate your identity and may also share some personal information such as your name and email address with us to pre-populate our registration form. These external logon services give you the ability to post information about your activities on AccompaMe to your respective social network profile in order to share it with other users on your network. Information you share through networking with your social media profile is governed by the respective external privacy policies of the networked providers.

 

Contacting people through our referral program

 

If you want to make your friends and acquaintances aware of AccompaMe and use our referral service, we need their names and email addresses. We will automatically send your friends or acquaintances a one-time e-mail message inviting them to visit our website. AccompaMe stores this data only for the purpose of sending this one-time email message and then measuring the success of our referral program. In this message we will inform your friends and acquaintances that they can have their data removed from our database by contacting our customer service (support@accompa.me) or privacy protection officer (privacy@accompa.me).
